PROPEL Teacher

Christie believes the importance of PROPEL is in offering an alternate way to achieve the HSC, giving students opportunities to gain qualifications and build skills in areas that interest them. Christie is looking forward to seeing students find their place and launch into the post-school world. Christie’s heart sings when she is with family, in nature, in open spaces, exploring new places and trying new things.

Donna is motivated by giving students a voice and choice in the subjects they choose and the career paths they explore. She is looking forward to seeing PROPEL students excel in their areas of interest and supporting them as they face challenges, overcome them and build confidence. Outside school, Donna has a passion for horses and values the mentors who have helped her to strive for excellence in her horsemanship journey.

“I have taught at Avondale School for 23 years because I LOVE it. I can teach anywhere but love Avondale because the students are wonderful, they are keen to learn and the opportunities presented to them are amazing. To enjoy coming to work for 23 years has been a privilege.”

Simone is excited to share the PROPEL learning journey with our students and be part of the team that provides opportunities for students to thrive in a real world learning environment. Simone is a lifelong learner and enjoys living a holistic lifestyle with a passion for nutritional medicine and homeopathy to ensure a balanced body = a balanced life! As an experienced photographer Simone loves to always ‘capture the moment’ to share stories with others.
