The Seventh-day Adventist Church Pathfinder and Adventurer programs are an avenue that allows intergenerational sharing, learning and the passing of knowledge of God’s mighty acts and deeds from one generation to the next. These programs are part of a global Adventist network of clubs and provide awesome opportunities for our young people and their families to connect and develop a sense of purpose in our local, wider and church community.
Participants, through a variety of activities, with a strong focus on the outdoors, are encouraged to develop a sense of wonder, awe and personal relationship with their creator, a sense of responsibility and stewardship for all of creation and a personal connection.
The Adventurer Program is aimed at younger children starting from age 4 & 5 (pre-adventurers) up to age 9. This is a family program with parents encouraged to join in activities and learning as part of strengthening relationship networks for their children and themselves. Activities include worship programs, singing, acting, outdoor activities such as walks, beach and bush outings and core class learning targeting awards they can earn.
The Pathfinder Program carries on from Adventurers, providing opportunity for young people aged between 10 and 16 to further develop their strengths and confidences in a range of outdoor skills and pursuits along with core spiritual development and learning within a Christian context. Pathfinders also have the opportunity to earn badges and awards for their participation and learning.
