Last week the Year 7 cohort, accompanied by our Year 11 peer support students, set off to Crosslands Youth and Convention Centre for 3 days. While we were there, the students got to be involved in many activities that pushed most students outside of their comfort zones. They participated in high ropes courses, a zip line, canoeing and team building activities. It was absolutely amazing seeing the students try new things and seeing them feel so proud of themselves for doing so. Having our wonderful Year 11 peer support students to encourage, assist and mentor our Year 7 students through this was inspiring and heart-warming. Each night our chaplaincy team led everyone in praise and worship which was truly touching to hear. We were blessed with beautiful warm weather, which made for lots of games of Marco Polo in the pool and added a nice challenge to our short hike to complete the camp before packing up the buses and heading back to school. A tiring yet wonderful camp which led to many new friendships and memories.
