In Year 7 Science, students have been learning about different animal habitats, organism interactions and how organisms are classified. To deepen our learning, we set out on Thursday August 18 to Taronga Zoo in Sydney. Students observed the different characteristics of animals, compared the habitats for each of the species and had all of their dreams come true by seeing a capybara in the flesh. Year 7 had a fantastic day at the zoo, from hearing the howling chimpanzees, to patting a goat and having a rather large condor fly over their heads.
