Year 5 enjoyed a day exploring The Rocks in Sydney this week. We were blessed with beautiful weather and an opportunity to learn about colonial life in the 1800s. We saw original buildings, parts of roads constructed with blocks of timber and walked through narrow lane ways. We heard stories of the hardships of life, the lack of hygiene and rapid spread of disease. We enjoyed the beauty of the harbour, with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge a highlight for many of the kids.
