Last Friday, Year 2 students participated in a Science incursion led by Dr Jason Morton and his team from Avondale University. The incursion was a fantastic hands-on learning experience, where students rotated through three engaging science activities that enhanced their understanding of living things. The first activity involved students examining animal skulls where they learned how to identify whether an animal is a herbivore or carnivore by studying the structure of their teeth. Next, students used microscopes to examine various specimens in detail. The final activity saw students discovering small living organisms in the school’s environment. This incursion was an exciting and enriching experience. We are so grateful to Dr Morton and his team for bringing science to life in such a fun and interactive way!
