On Wednesday, Year 2 had a fantastic day of science learning. Catherine King from the Newcastle Museum came to our school to deliver three fun and engaging science shows. The first show was a great hit with the students, aptly named Gums to Bums, it was a hilarious and fun way to learn about the digestive system. In Planet Earth we learnt about volcanoes, earthquakes and the structure of the Earth with chocolate, custard and a lava lamp. To finish, the Explosive Pressure show involved a bike-pump rocket, imploding cans and a marshmallow bazooka! This really blew our minds! What a fun day of learning.
