Embarking on the 'Urban Challenge’, our Year 11 students seized the opportunity for an immersive expedition. Blessed with splendid weather, the three-day adventure was packed with activities that challenged them and gave them chances to bond and reflect.
The journey commenced on Monday with an early train ride to Sydney, swiftly transitioning into the heart of the Urban Challenge. Amidst the bustling Sydney CBD, student groups navigated to locate checkpoints, engaging in activities at various places. Following lunch, the day continued with a visit to Hyde Park Barracks, a ferry ride to Manly for dinner, followed by a moving worship with Mr Kunz and a moonlit stroll over the iconic Harbour Bridge before returning to our accommodation.
On Tuesday, the teams enjoyed a Foodies Tour of Bankstown, experiencing a variety of flavors and cultural interactions. In the evening, the cohort boarded the ferry to Cockatoo Island, a very historical and interesting spot, all under the amazing rare full blue supermoon.
On our final day, we ventured to Sydney University, a large campus with many courses and inspiring ideas.
This excursion provided an invaluable opportunity for our students to familiarise themselves with urban life outside the school environment, enhancing both their navigation abilities and life experiences.
