This week, our Year 11 PDHPE students, along with the Year 11 PROPEL class, rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on First Aid and CPR training session. Not only did they tick off a key requirement for their courses, but they also walked away with life-saving skills and qualifications they can proudly add to their resumes.
From practising CPR on dummies, to mastering the correct way to bandage and treat conditions like anaphylaxis and asthma, our students gained essential knowledge that will be useful in any workplace – and in life. With their CPR certification lasting 12 months and their First Aid qualifications lasting three years, hands-on learning experiences like this go beyond the classroom, helping our students develop real-world skills that boost their confidence and prepare them for future success in their careers and everyday life.
A big thank you to Florence, who has supported the school for many years by providing First Aid training for both staff and students. Her dedication to equipping our school community with essential skills is truly appreciated.
