Year 11 Music has just entered into the HSC course, and were treated to a personal presentation by local film composer Blake Robinson, a former teacher at Avondale School. Blake Robinson, also known as Blakus, is an award-winning Australian composer for media. Blake shared about his creative process and that of other composers in the film and game trailer industry, discussing how to achieve the desired atmosphere and even just making a start - sometimes the hardest part of all for any creative career. The class had a number of great questions and suggestions to help propel them on their way to composing their own short film soundtracks for HSC assessment this term. What a great morning!
