This term the Year 11 Kitchen Operations Hospitality class have been very busy learning culinary skills, precision cuts, operating commercial cookery equipment and producing simple dishes across a range of food types. Last week they tried homemade pasta - fettuccini. Students made excellent pasta dough and processed it through a pasta machine to make fresh basil pesto pasta from scratch with no pre-made products. Students made exceptional pasta and learnt many valuable skills in pasta making as well as making pesto from fresh ingredients.
