This term Year 10 Drama have been working on a unit titled 'Dramatic Forms'. They had the opportunity to learn about various conventions that are associated with different forms, such as Melodrama (overacting) and Realism (true to life acting) in class. For their assessment they were given a list of various other forms from which they had to choose one in combination with a given theme. This Wednesday, they had the opportunity to perform these plays to a variety of classes. They presented two very different plays, using absurdism and melodrama. The students researched, wrote, directed, costumed and produced each of these plays with enthusiasm and the plays were thoroughly enjoyed by a fantastic audience.
