As we come to the end of another term, I can’t help thinking about all the things that have changed over the past few months. We began the term with remote learning and then had to plan for and manage the transition back to face to face learning, with loads of handwashing, hand sanitiser, cough etiquette, physical distancing and disinfectant. Things have changed for families too. Many families have had uncertainty with incomes, health and financial concerns, and of course the challenges of supporting students to learn from home.
Despite all of the difficulties, we have not only survived, but thrived. We see many examples of resilience, creativity, adaptability and perseverance in the face of challenges. I believe our strengths come from the power of ONE.
One School – A united team from Preschool to Year 12.
One Goal – to provide support and continuity of learning for our students.
One Purpose – to help our students know Jesus and develop their full potential.
One Community – families and school staff working together.
This sentiment is echoed in the Bible where we are encouraged to operate as a united community in Jesus. If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care — then do me a favour: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Philippians 2:1-2
From the staff team we wish you all a restful and safe time over school holidays. May you find time to relax and recharge.
Blessings
