On Wednesday, many students across the Primary School participated in National Simultaneous Storytime. This is a fun event that the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) put together, where students across Australia read the same book, at the same time. ALIA’s goal is to create fun around reading, so that more students engage in stories to help create a love of life long learning and reading. This year the book was Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker, a beautiful Australian book about a blue satin bowerbird, collecting blue items to build a bower. Enjoy the photos of students who spent time listening to the story, drawing bowerbirds and other related activities.
