Last Friday in excellent weather, Avondale School once again hosted the annual HRIS Cross Country at Avondale University. The track was very wet in some sections and had to be rerouted. The 9-Year-Boys race even had to be held up for a short time due to a snake on the track!
There were 18 schools from the Hunter region competing, which meant there were up to 90 students in each race. The competition was close between schools.
The Primary School came in 5th with 1958 points.
The Secondary School came in a very close 4th place and also won the trophy for the most points awarded to a school per student population.
